This Hand Brake Shoe Set is a Genuine Kia Part, specifically engineered for the Kia Sorento UM (2016 Model). As the official replacement for part number 58305-C5A00, it is designed for the "drum-in-hat" braking system, where the parking brake operates via shoes located inside the center hub of the rear disc rotors.
For a heavy, multi-passenger SUV like the Sorento UM, the parking brake system must be exceptionally reliable. These genuine shoes are manufactured using premium friction compounds that provide the high level of static grip necessary to hold the vehicle's weight firmly, preventing any accidental rolling. Unlike aftermarket alternatives, which may suffer from poor fitment or insufficient holding strength, these genuine parts ensure the exact mechanical leverage intended by Kia engineers. By choosing genuine, you ensure a firm handbrake (or footbrake) engagement and maximum safety every time you park.
